Within my portfolio, I provide a diverse sampling of my work product, including academic and consulting work. I think it shows that I am capable of producing high-quality output on any number of topics. I am committed to performing at high levels, providing value-added on any project in any research arena. Further, I want to highlight my photography and travel experiences to better showcase my personality and passions.
I showcase my publications as well as my past academic contributions, drawing from PhD and Master's courses relevant for the study of urban sustainability. My academic foundation draws on my background in natural sciences and urban sustainability. I quickly learn and apply research methods using relevant software, with experience with NVivo, ArcGIS, MATLAB, and Origin.

My Master’s thesis sought to explore social equity issues relating to the funding of projects for innovation in cities. In particular, I examined the proliferation of living labs in Europe. Among other methods, I used geographic information systems (GIS) to map the locations of living labs for sustainability throughout Europe; further, I examined socio-economic data to investigate the communities in which living labs are embedded. My work as a student research assistant and my thesis prove I am able to perform project-specific primary research using strategic qualitative and quantitative methods. Read more.
I have taken on many projects and opportunities to consult with various business clients. In particular, I accompanied a team to Cairo, Egypt to consult on the business and contextual barriers for entry-to-market for Energy Service Companies in Egypt. I have worked on consulting projects pertaining to business model development, renewable energy, energy efficiency, mitigating environmental risk, intermodal transport, and inclusive urban interventions. Among the most challenging and most rewarding things I have done in my life is endeavour to start a business. I have pushed myself in ways, professionally and personally, that I never imagined. With every new adventure, I learn more about the world, people, culture, urbanism, etc. I value these perspectives and experiences more than anything. I want to share some of the amazing stories of people and places that have shaped my world view. And a picture can tell a story and evoke emotion that take words much longer to convey.
